This Saturday! The Salt Ghost midwest screening in Chicago on October 22nd in conjunction with the Hellrider versus Godzilla Halloween party! Wes White of Four Aces is flying out on Friday, Kyle and I drive out Friday morning, and Greg & Katy are coming out Saturday morning. Should be an action packed fun weekend, come on out!
We are doing the midwest Salt Ghost film screening at the Hellrider vs. Godzilla Halloween party at Ace Motorcycle in Chicago on October 22nd, 2011. We will be out there along with Wes White of Four Aces Cycle, so come on out and enjoy the bike show, live music, food, beer and the film screening!
The fun starts Thursday with some post Gypsy Run fun at Lone Wolf for the Street Chopper/Kickstart Cycle Supply Old Fashioned Brooklyn Drink Up! I hear there are free tacos and the Black Tibetans are playing.
The east coast premiere of The Salt Ghost: Return of the Nitro Express takes place at The Gutter in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday night, September 16th, 2011. The screening is in conjunction with the DiCE Magazine release party, and is the night before the Brooklyn Invitational, and the weekend after The Gypsy Run 5. Come on out to NY for a week of awesome east coast chopper events! The one hour film will be shown at 10pm with The Black Tibetans playing afterward at 11:30pm. On Thursday, September 15th come on by The Lone Wolf and watch The Black Tibetans play, this party was set up by Walter at Kickstart Cycle so it should be a good time! Kyle and myself will be at the party at The Lone Wolf, the DiCE party / Salt Ghost Premiere as well as the Brooklyn Invitational. See you there!
No I am not talking about the power ballad/metal (?) classic, I mean 12 days until we hit the road to Bonneville Speed Week! Tyler and I have both been scrambling between shows, work, prepping the bikes, and the other 1000 things going on but today I am feeling pretty good.
My friend Tom from TNT Custom Paint dropped by with his big ol' paint chest and laid out some racing numbers on my fairing. How can hand painted race numbers with double pinstriped borders not look great on a vintage race bike!?!

Wes from Four Aces sent me this photo, he opened a box from the SCTA and lo and behold we got an award from our team effort with the Nitro Express (the 'Salt Ghost'). We received a plaque 'Achievement Award' because the fastest run I did came within 2% of the standing national record. This is motivating to say the least.
