Throttled: Show Coverage

As I was already in SoCal for the weekend I swung up to check out Throttled: Ray Gordon Photography Exhibition. It was a very cool show, a west coast Brooklyn invitational almost. I saw a bunch of familiar faces and bikes, drank some free beer and just talked shop with everyone there.
The front gallery has all the large photo exhibits and some music, while the back patio had around a dozen bikes all on display. All in all a very cool show. Sorry about the crappy phone pics I wasn't expecting to be here so I did my best!

Pinned! Show Coverage

I headed down to Columbus yesterday for the first Pinned! show held in Columbus Ohio along with our friends Greg and Tim. It ended up being a great day weather wise sunny and in the low 80's which was tremendous luck as there have been about 2 days without rain this whole month!
I met up with Kareem who put the event on. He did a great job, the event featured about 7 live bands, the PBR truck, a roach coach making what I heard were good burgers, and a bunch of local vendors including Josh from Old School Helmets.
There were a bunch of great bikes and groups of people coming and going all day, some hot rods as well and a couple real jems including this rare 70's trike and this V-Twin Royal Enfield (that's right they never made a production model, I have a couple more photos and some more info on it I will feature in a future blog)Awards were given out in several categories as well as prizes from some of the sponsors.

This was a fun event and a great turnout for the first year, good job Kareem and crew, we hope to see you next year!

Ride To Skate 4............

I rolled out to Philly this weekend, made a road trip of it visiting our buddy Walter at Kickstart Cycle supply in NJ first then down into Philly for the pre-party. Good time, and a decent turnout. Met a few people off CC and other customers and friends. Got to see a kid jump over his girlfriend on his rigid right out in front of the bar (not sure where the ramp came from but it disappeared quickly in case of police involvement). Coolest thing I saw all weekend and of course I didn't get a photo off!

The show itself was great, awesome weather for the event, which is great given the weather this coast has been getting the last couple weeks. Alot of cool bikes and alot of skaters at FDR park. I took a ton of pics but here's just a taste, I will get more up when I am caught up from taking a weekend off! I have a feelin next year will be even better.

Hippy Killer Hoedown 2

Last year, the first Hippy Killer Hoedown brought over 450 riders to Hemet. It was a one-day event thrown on a Thursday! This year we can only see the numbers rise, as it will be held on a Saturday. Kutty has secured a sweet location for the 2nd Hippy Killer Hoedown for April 17, 2010. It will be held at the Wild West Arena in Winchester, Ca. He will also be providing a few live bands & Danny G will be spinning through out the day. (borrowed from hippykiller.com)

Some of you already know BF Josh, he is the Lowbrow Customs West coast rep and he will be set up at West coast shows including monthly at the Long Beach Swap Meet, The Hippy Killer Hoedown, as well as others. Make sure to swing by and check it out if you're there.
