Born Too Late Chopper Show In New Zealand

Jay from New Zealand sent me these pictures from one of their local  Chopper shows!
It looks like a good time, and not so different from the shows we have here, bands, booze, bikes, and broads!

(I bet she has a rad accent!)

I love their t-shirt design too, you can check that out HERE

Lowbrow Land Speed Racing 2012

Timing tags from Bonneville Speed Week 2011 showed up in my mail at home yesterday. You get a brass timing tag with your top speed, or your record. In this case I got two because I set two records in two different classes. I actually hoped to get one with my top speed, which was 120.9 mph on my '55 Triumph, but these aren't bad either. Been busting ass on getting ready for Speed Week 2012, Kyle and I both have been reworking our bikes from the last two years, and I have a totally new bike I am going to be racing this year as well. It has been top secret, but I am just too into it to not show it off as I make prgoress, so stay tuned for some good pics to come soon. - Tyler

Eden Chopper Class

The Eden Chopper Class 2011/2012
Steve Jones runs the Eden Chopper Class at Eden Jr/Sr High School in Eden, NY. This is a really cool program whose goal is to teach students about the process of Real-World Engineering/Problem Solving and Fabrication using American Made V-twins as our main instruction tool.

Needless to say when they asked for some parts for the build we were more than happy to send along a care package. You can check out their website HERE. Keep up the good work Steve, and make sure to send us some pictures of the build and the completed project!

Lowbrow 1 Year Retrospective

We started working out of our warehouse in February, 2011. It has been one year, and I came across some photos from when we first looked at the warehouse that previous fall. I thought it would be fun to do a photo comparison of then and now, a year later. Who knows what will be happening 12 months from now!

The view from the office.. Hey, get back to work!

Recieving area, 'handlebar & fender alley'

Workshop. Get 'em done!

What started as a huge bike work area is getting encroached on by pallet racking and bulk storage.

Where all the printing magic happens..

Rocker Box Revelry - This Saturday 2/25/12 - Pittsburgh, PA

Rocker Box Revelry coming up this Saturday in Pittsburgh! Check out the ChopCult event thread here for more info. Screenings of the El Diablo Run and Salt Ghost DVD will take place, as well as a pierogie eating contest (yum!), live music, and lots of great prizes from the sponsors!

Born Free 4 Updates

Above is a photo of a typical poster/ticket that goes out when ordered at Lowbrow. We throw in stickers, fliers, or catalogs in that the various sponsors have provided for your pleasure.

There are many, many fine sponsors of Born Free 4. Who wouldn't want to help make a show happen that gives away TWO motorcycles (you needn't be present to win, and ChopCult is going to deliver the bikes for free to the winners if they are in the continental US!) and also the little fact that the show is a free event, and you can enter your motorcycle in the show for free, and if your bike wins Best In Show, you and your bike get a FREE trip to Japan and the 2012 Mooneyes show in Yokahama! Pretty solid deal. Check out the Born Free blog to stay up-to-date.

There are a limited amount of these Born-Free AMF-style logo keychains, we are throwing one in with each ticket package that goes out, so get yours now before they are gone!

The Gasbox Pictoral Part 1 of 2

I spent some time at The Gasbox in Cleveland along with Kyle and Katy as Jesse Basset machined my Shovelhead cases and head for an S&S 3-5/8" big bore kit. Jesse likes to tinker around on bikes as a bit of a hobby, and he has quite the collection of interesting artifacts at his shop. This is a Gasbox pictoral part 1 of 2, stay tuned later in the week for more photos of the daily ongoings. On Facebook check out The Gasbox page and Like it to keep in touch with the interesting builds happening non-stop.

2012 Bonneville Speed Week Triumph LSR build!

I started building my new race bike for Bonneville Speed Week 2012 quite awhile ago, but other than a few posts on our blog or some pictures on our Facebook Page, I haven't really put too much out there yet. This year I am doing a complete re-design, custom frame up and much more bodywork than last years record bike, and I am looking at 4 different record classes. I started a build thread HERE on Chop Cult if you want to check it out from the beginning! I will keep updating the build thread every day until I am up to the current progress! 6 months and counting! Cheers, Kyle

Mullins Chain Drive Frame for Shovel Chopper

Just got my frame from Brandon at Mullins Chain Drive today. Their single loop Witch Finder frame, stock dimensions and rake. This is the basis for a cone Shovel chopper build, stay tuned for more details as this one comes together, it is going to rule.
Nice.

Frame #008!

The Untitled Shop Project Continues!

Today was like Christmas, I saw the big box marked Kerker come in, it doesn't matter who you are, we all love getting a big box of goodies in from the man in Brown! I didn't hesitate to grab Todd and have him help me mock the new 2 into 1 exhaust up.
I know I haven't done any updates since last Sunday when I picked the bike up, unless you follow our FACEBOOK PAGE then you have seen some shots of the progress the last 5 days. I used a ton of our parts(we really do believe in and use what we sell!) I replaced the stock tins with a modified Fat Bob Fender, Sporty gas tank, and a cut down stock front fender. I also switched it back to a mid-control setup and ditched the forward controls. I set it up with the new Biltwell Moto Bars, Thunder Risers, Sanderson foot pegs, Whiskey Throttle Tube, Kung Fu grips, CV Carb Top, and a Spotster Banana Seat. I also changed out the way too large stock headlight with a Bates replica, replaced the stock derby and points cover with Mooneyes products, and used BCM Willis Breather Bolts and a Ribsey Air Cleaner to really clean it up.

Now the look I want it coming to life! Next week the new dual sport tires and spoked rear wheel and Progressive Suspension should be in, and tins will go out to paint at my buddy Tom's shop TNT Custom Paint. I can't wait to see this bike road ready!
